The Ignition Regulator is designed for use with lithium batteries and electronic ignitions. The Ignition Regulator has a fixed 5.2V output and has a current capability of 3A continuous. The regulator has a large output capacitor to handle the peak currents required by an electronic ignition. The regulator has universal connectors with 22-gauge wire.
To maintain a 5.2V output the battery voltage must stay above 6.2V. A battery voltage below this will result in an output voltage of the battery voltage minus 1.0V (i.e. for 6.0V battery voltage output will be 5.0V)
